Alpha Generation is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support capital and maintenance projects across a 24-plant, 12-GW power generation fleet in the northeastern United States. The role provides technical and project management leadership for planned and emergent work, including direct management of select projects and support of fleet-wide project execution in collaboration with plant operations, maintenance, and engineering teams. This role may support mechanical, civil, electrical, or controls-focused projects depending on the candidate’s background and business needs. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, and Generator Outage Project Controls Manager with expertise to provide a key role supporting a diverse fleet of gas turbine-generators, steam turbine-generators, and ancillary equipment. The Project Controls Specialist provides comprehensive schedule, cost, and performance control for major maintenance outages on gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators across power generation facilities. This role ensures that complex outage events—such as major inspections, rotor removals, casing splits, and generator rewinds—are executed safely, efficiently, and within established budget and schedule targets. The specialist works closely with outage managers, plant leadership, OEM/contractor teams, and engineering groups to maintain full visibility into outage progress and risks. This role reports directly to the Director of Outages and Major Maintenance, supporting operations across 23 generating facilities totaling 14 GW nationwide.
