About the position

The Gas Processing Measurement Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, operation, and accuracy of renewable and liquified natural gas measurement assets. This role involves working with various measurement and control equipment, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements, and maintaining operational excellence in the assigned area.

Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, test, adjust, maintain, operate, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and remove advanced measurement, control and regulation equipment, SCADA and quality equipment.
  • Detect measurement error and correct volumes as needed and provide supporting documentation.
  • Monitor gas and liquid product volumes through the measurement system, ensuring all corrections and proper qualities are applied.
  • Interpret and apply electrical and electronic schematics pertaining to EFM and measurement electronics.
  • Assess all facets of assigned facilities to ensure accurate measurement and maintain company goals regarding lost and unaccounted for gas and product.
  • Perform audits of custody transfer and control data when necessary.
  • Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all facilities and equipment as needed.
  • Oversee construction and/or maintenance activities performed by third parties.
  • Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
  • Complete appropriate documentation and paperwork.
  • Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory and tariff requirements.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Intermediate proficiency level in MS Office applications.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).
  • Working knowledge of the National Electric Codes philosophies.
  • Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, liquids, and high-pressure systems.
  • Knowledge with electronic test instruments.
  • Knowledge of gas and liquid chromatography and SCADA equipment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic equipment used in gas and liquid product measurement and control.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and meet company insurability requirements.
