About the position

The Sales Specialist - Cabinets at Lowe's is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a well-organized and stocked store environment. This role involves understanding customer needs, providing expert advice on products, and ensuring that merchandise is displayed to high standards. The Sales Specialist aims to close sales by offering consultative services and executing orders related to cabinets and associated projects.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality customer service while maintaining a clean and stocked store.
  • Understand customer needs to recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Ensure merchandise is showroom ready and accurately reflects current offerings.
  • Engage in safe work practices and operate store equipment properly.
  • Provide expert explanations of product specifications and features to customers.
  • Confirm customer needs are met before they leave the store.
  • Execute orders and projects related to cabinets.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of external customer-facing sales experience or 6 months of Lowe's retail experience.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring prolonged standing, sitting, and lifting up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year of experience entering and submitting customer sales orders, including Special Order Sales.
  • 2 years of experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs.
  • 2 years of experience in customer service, including resolving complaints and building relationships.
  • 2 years of experience following up on outstanding customer orders or sales.
  • 1 year of experience promoting product-related services such as installation or financing.
  • 2 years of experience in a sales environment with required sales goals.
  • 1 year of employment with Lowe's as a Sales Specialist.
  • 2 years of experience designing customized products using CAD systems.
  • Professional Certification related to the position (e.g., NKBA).
  • Associate Degree in Interior Design.
