About the position

The Sales Specialist - Cabinets at Lowe's is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a well-stocked and safe store environment. This role involves understanding customer needs, providing expert product knowledge, and ensuring merchandise is showroom ready. The Sales Specialist aims to close sales by offering consultative services and executing orders related to cabinets and associated projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality customer service while maintaining a clean and safe store environment.
• Understand customer needs to recommend appropriate products and services.
• Ensure merchandise is displayed according to showroom standards and operates correctly during demonstrations.
• Engage in safe work practices and properly operate store equipment.
• Explain product specifications and features to customers to facilitate sales.
• Provide consultative services to ensure customer needs are met before they leave the store.
• Execute orders and projects related to cabinets.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of external experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe's retail experience.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of experience entering and submitting customer sales orders, including Special Order Sales.
• 2 years of experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs or plans.
• 2 years of experience in customer service, including resolving complaints and building customer relationships.
• 2 years of experience following up on outstanding customer orders or sales.
• 1 year of experience promoting product-related services such as installation or delivery.
• 2 years of experience in a sales environment with required sales goals.
• 1 year of employment with Lowe's as a Sales Specialist.
• 2 years of experience designing customized products using CAD systems.
• Professional Certification related to the position (e.g., NKBA).
• Associate Degree in Interior Design.
