About the position

The Sales Specialist for Appliances and Cabinets at Lowe's is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a well-stocked and organized store environment. This role involves understanding customer needs, demonstrating product features, and closing sales. The specialist ensures that merchandise is showroom-ready and engages in safe work practices. Additionally, the position requires executing orders and projects related to appliances and cabinets, contributing to a positive shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality customer service while maintaining a clean and stocked store.
• Understand customer needs to recommend appropriate products and services.
• Ensure merchandise is showroom-ready and operates correctly during demonstrations.
• Engage in safe work practices and properly operate store equipment.
• Explain product specifications and features to customers to facilitate sales.
• Provide consultative services to customers and confirm their needs are met before leaving the store.
• Execute orders and projects in the area of focus.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of external experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe's retail experience.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of experience entering and submitting customer sales orders, including Special Order Sales.
• 2 years of experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs or plans.
• 2 years of experience in providing customer service, including resolving complaints and building customer relationships.
• 2 years of experience following up on outstanding or incomplete customer orders, sales, or installs.
• 1 year of experience promoting product-related services and plans such as installation and delivery.
• 2 years of experience in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics.
• 1 year of employment with Lowe's as a Sales Specialist.
• 1 year of experience selling appliances.
