About the position
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant role at Magnolia Medical Group involves providing psychiatric care in a skilled nursing facility and outpatient clinic. The position requires a compassionate professional to conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment, including medication management for residents with co-occurring disorders. The role is part-time, requiring 2-3 days per week at the nursing facility in Thornton, CO, and the remaining days at the Wheat Ridge location.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnoses for residents.
- Provide medication management and treatment plans for patients.
- Collaborate with a team of providers in the skilled nursing facility.
- See patients in person at the Wheat Ridge location.
- Participate in Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and counseling services.
Requirements
- Valid Physician Assistant License in the state of Colorado.
- PMHNP certification or related specialty designation in psychiatry or behavioral health.
- At least 3 years of Behavioral Health work experience.
