About The Position
A family in the Upper East Side is seeking an experienced, developmentally focused full-time Nanny to care for their 19-month-old son. The family is looking for a long-term fit and requests a minimum one-year commitment from candidates. They hope to find a career nanny who is passionate about child development, enjoys being active, and can become a trusted partner in supporting their son's growth and daily routines. The ideal candidate has a strong educational and professional childcare background, genuinely enjoys engaging with toddlers, and is excited to create enriching experiences both at home and throughout the city. The family values open communication and is looking for someone they can build a strong, long-term relationship with.
Requirements
- Formal education in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field strongly preferred
- Significant professional nanny experience with toddlers
- Strong understanding of developmental milestones and age-appropriate learning
- Authorized to work in the United States and willing to be paid on payroll
- Prior experience traveling with families preferred
- Comfortable with periodic domestic travel
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to drive
Nice To Haves
- Spanish or French language skills are a plus, but not required
- Can swim
Responsibilities
- Providing attentive, developmentally focused care for one toddler
- Planning engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage learning, exploration, and growth
- Supporting developmental milestones through play and structured activities
- Taking the child outdoors daily for walks, playground visits, classes, and active play
- Facilitating social opportunities and coordinating playdates when appropriate
- Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the child
- Child's laundry and maintaining organization of child-related spaces
- Maintaining nursery and play areas, including diaper pail and diaper trash management
- Assisting with school drop-offs and pick-ups once school begins
- Traveling with the family as needed
