About the position

The Merchandising Service Associate at Lowe's is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while executing merchandising tasks. This role involves collaborating with the Merchandising Service team, managing project priorities, and ensuring compliance with Lowe's merchandising standards. The associate will spend a majority of their time on merchandising activities but is also expected to engage with customers to assist them with their needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provides SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Builds relationships with vendors by providing direction and checking to ensure merchandise resets are completed according to Lowe's specifications.
  • Collaborates with the Merchandising Service team and Manager by communicating project priorities, schedule, and project needs.
  • Analyzes metrics and provides feedback on project execution and in-store service to store, market, and corporate leaders.
  • Engages with customers to understand their needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.
  • Listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions.
  • Demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers and communicates information regarding stock, special orders, and warranty information.
  • Moves or replaces beams and grids, rotates stock, builds products, and displays products using power equipment as per reset and project instructions.
  • Identifies damaged products and removes them from the shelves, delivering them to the Return to Manufacturer area.
  • Verifies buyback items and ensures they are prepped and ready for shipping.
  • Updates and validates wayfinding and product location signage throughout the store.
  • Confirms that product pricing information is visible and resolves any missing pricing labels.
  • Ensures cross merchandise and side stack products are placed appropriately to drive add-on sales.
  • Works with store leadership to stage clearance and damaged merchandise for quick sale.
  • Sorts products in bins, drawers, and boxes to ensure proper location.
  • Cleans and maintains the store environment, ensuring compliance with housekeeping standards.
  • Operates store equipment as needed depending on specific role and department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in customer service or retail environment.
  • Ability to operate power equipment and tools safely.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in merchandising or inventory management.
  • Familiarity with retail operations and merchandising standards.
