About the position

The Medical Assistant II (MA II) works under the supervision of a licensed practitioner to provide patient care in a clinical setting. This role encompasses all responsibilities of a Medical Assistant I and requires full competency in clinical functions specific to the assigned clinic. The MA II is expected to adhere to established policies and procedures while delivering patient-focused care in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing patient care under the direction of a licensed practitioner.
  • Perform all aspects of the Medical Assistant I role competently.
  • Adhere to established policies, procedures, and regulations in clinical practice.
  • Support the clinical needs of assigned patients in the clinic.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school for medical assistants or equivalent experience/training to qualify for WA State Certification exam.
  • Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
  • Six months of healthcare experience.
  • Six months of medical assistant experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Graduate of an accredited school for medical assistants or equivalent experience/training to qualify for a National Certification exam.
  • National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
