Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Perform basic dental laboratory tasks, such as pouring impressions and trimming models
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Schedule appointments and manage the dental office's calendar

Requirements

• Previous experience as a dental assistant is preferred but not required
• Familiarity with dental procedures, terminology, and equipment
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
• Proficiency in taking dental x-rays and operating dental imaging software
• Ability to perform basic medical tasks, such as taking vital signs

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions is a plus
• Knowledge of dental receptionist duties and medical coding is a plus
