The Community Specialist plays a crucial role in executing the store's community strategy. This involves engaging with the community through relationship building, events, and activities, including supporting lululemon product seeding and attending local studios. The Community Specialist is responsible for developing and sustaining local key relationships with lululemon Ambassadors and other influential community partners, providing synergistic value. Additionally, they deliver a world-class guest experience when working on the floor in the store, integrating their community perspective into guest connections. Core responsibilities include collaborating with store leadership to bring the community strategy to life, establishing and managing local key relationships to enhance guest acquisition and retention, engaging with the local community to identify future Ambassador or partner opportunities, and connecting with guests to assess their unique needs. The Community Specialist will also attend, support, and host local and regional community events, execute the product seeding strategy, review community-relevant business data, and contribute to a respectful and inclusive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with store leadership to bring Community strategy to life through community foundations and guest experience.
  • Establish and manage local key relationships (e.g., Ambassadors, Sweat Collective, studio owners) to increase new guest acquisition and retention.
  • Engage with the local community to identify future Ambassador or partner opportunities and enhance the store's standing as a community hub.
  • Connect with guests on the floor to assess their unique needs and provide technical product education.
  • Attend, support, and/or host local and regional Community events.
  • Execute the product seeding strategy through community partners and Ambassadors.
  • Review community relevant business data and metrics to identify insights and recommendations for Community events or initiatives.
  • Contribute to a respectful and inclusive team environment by celebrating differences.

Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country in which the store is located.
  • 1 year of cumulative experience in customer service, grassroots marketing, brand engagement, or community building.

Nice-to-haves

  • High school diploma/GED/equivalent, or above.
  • Experience in building or maintaining relationships with clients, groups, or partners.
  • Experience in motivating team members to accomplish goals or activities.
