About the position
The City of Moraine is seeking a full-time Superintendent of Building Maintenance to oversee the installation, maintenance, cleaning, and repair of the city's buildings and recreation facilities. This role involves project management for building development and enhancement, supervising maintenance personnel, and managing the annual budget under the general supervision of the City Manager.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, cleaning, and repair of the City's buildings and recreation facilities.
- Serve as the project manager for building development and enhancement.
- Supervise all Building Maintenance personnel.
- Prepare and manage the annual budget for the Building Maintenance division.
- Ensure compliance with City rules and regulations.
- Obtain necessary equipment training and skill certifications as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Seven years of related experience in building maintenance or facilities management.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance and safety regulations (OSHA, State, City).
- Ability to read building and construction blueprints.
- Knowledge of facility sub-systems such as electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Experience with project bidding processes.
- Ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods.
