About the position
The Full Time Archery Technician is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support related to archery equipment. This role involves greeting customers, troubleshooting and tuning archery gear, and assisting with product assembly and installation. The technician ensures a pleasant shopping experience while maintaining product integrity and organization in the work area.
Responsibilities
- Greet and acknowledge all customers in a prompt and friendly manner.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and tune all archery equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Install accessory items on bows and demonstrate products to customers.
- Answer specific technical questions to assist customers in understanding equipment operation.
- Continue technical training to improve proficiency and product knowledge.
- Assist with pricing, inventory accuracy, and product display.
- Provide a legendary customer experience by identifying and evaluating customer needs and making product recommendations.
- Replenish products on shelves as required per merchandising guidelines.
- Keep work area organized, clean, and well-stocked with supplies.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 2+ years' experience with bow setup.
- Ability to perform bow setup including draw length, eye dominance, and draw weight determination.
- Experience in bow assembly and accessory installation such as kisser buttons and peep sights.
- Knowledge of arrow setup including arrow length and spine.
- Ability to operate various equipment and tools including a bow press and chop saw.
- Instruct customers on safety, accessories, bow features, and brand awareness.
