About the position
The Fuel Dock Attendant is responsible for assisting customers and guests with vessel fueling and performing various tasks related to the operation of the docks. This role emphasizes maintaining a safe and clean environment while providing excellent customer service to boaters and marina members.
Responsibilities
- Provide SHM members with the best experience possible
- Greet all customers in a kind, courteous, and professional manner
- Help orient members and guests to the marina and facilities
- Assist customers throughout the vessel fueling and pumpout process
- Ensure safe practices are being followed during fueling
- Assist customers with general boating needs
- Maintain and clean restrooms, docks, walkways, and grounds
- Ensure docks and equipment are operational at all times
- Perform daily trash collection and disposal
- Maintain inventory at the fuel dock, including organizing and restocking shelves
- Comply with OSHA and environmental regulations
- Be available to work overtime when required
- Work weekends and holidays as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager
Requirements
- Ability to work safely around water
- Must be able to swim
- Ability to lift 30 pounds
- Basic boat handling skills preferred
- Previous marina experience preferred
- Previous customer service experience preferred
