About the position
The Field Service Representative (FSR) at HORIBA Instruments is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining HORIBA products at customer sites, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction. This role requires technical expertise in electronics repair and troubleshooting, as well as the ability to provide technical assistance and support to customers. The FSR will also prepare detailed reports for customer invoicing and warranty charges, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the service team.
Responsibilities
- Installs, repairs, and maintains HORIBA products at customer sites.
- Performs in-house repairs of defective customer equipment.
- Maintains customer repair facilities, including calibration and maintenance of toxic gas monitoring systems.
- Provides technical assistance to customers, including parts and technical question research.
- Assists with Requests for Quotations.
- Prepares Field Service Reports with sufficient detail for customer invoicing, warranty charges, labor and materials charges.
Requirements
- Requires in-depth knowledge of electronics repair and ability to troubleshoot to component level.
- In-depth knowledge of electronic test equipment.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive an automobile.
- Position often requires work beyond a normal workday or workweek.
