We are looking for a/an FS Project Manager to join our Services_AME team in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in selling activities, prepare and review estimate quote requests and prepare detailed summary for estimating
  • Coordinate field projects from inception to completion and provide daily project reports to division management for all active projects
  • Contact 3rd party vendors and arrange for services. Create purchase orders for 3rd party vendors
  • Monitor out of scope work and issue change orders to cover out of scope work. Update weekly scheduling report with completion information
  • Establish a clear line of communication between customer, site management and division management to manage all out of scope work, parts deliveries, issues and force reports
  • Maintain close contact with field supervisors to ascertain the progress of the project. Create, maintain and update the project schedule
  • Identify possible technical information data that may apply to the project
  • Develop schedules for planned outages such as CI, HGP and Major, with maximum flexibility when changes may occur & respond to unplanned outages
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with STS superintendents, sales representatives, and supervisors
  • Receive, edit and review all outage reports and present to customer. Interface with customer contacts about operation irregularities and concerns
  • Research and acquire any special tooling needed for outages. Develop custom documentation for outage reports. Coordinate all sub-suppliers during outages
  • Coordinate with the STS shop on parts deliveries and inspections. Finalize project invoicing and payments with accounts receivable
  • Compile all technical documentation for our target machines and create database. Analyze information on our competitors including capabilities and objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Business Management or equivalent education and experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with personnel from diverse backgrounds at all levels of the organization
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn technical and design aspects for Rotating Equipment service and repairs
  • Broad and extensive knowledge of GE frame gas turbines models 7EA and 7FA, GE Legacy gas turbines and GE and Siemens steam turbines
  • Widespread knowledge of process equipment from many different original equipment manufacturers
  • Strong organizational skills, time management skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Understanding of basic financial concepts, physical ability to work in a shop and field environments
  • Siemens/Westinghouse gas turbine knowledge is a plus
