About the position

The Front Office Manager at The Envoy Hotel is responsible for overseeing the front office operations, ensuring exceptional guest service and adherence to sustainability standards. This role involves managing staff, monitoring financial operations, and implementing strategies to enhance guest satisfaction while maintaining compliance with hotel policies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage hotel front office operations in accordance with established guest service and sustainability standards.
  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates to ensure performance aligns with brand standards.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction scores and work towards improving departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee all front office financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting controls and procedures.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor departmental budgets and forecasts on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Review and submit capital budget items for approval as required.
  • Supervise all guest services department managers and ensure effective communication among staff.
  • Review guest correspondence and incident logs, directing staff based on the information obtained.
  • Oversee vendor and personnel contracts throughout the hotel.
  • Monitor occupancy of guest room space to ensure efficient use and minimize overbooking.
  • Create specific action plans to address guest service deficiencies.
  • Follow sustainability guidelines related to HHM's EarthView program.
  • Practice safe work habits and adhere to MSDS and OSHA standards.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2 to 5 years of hospitality-related experience.
