About the position

The Front of House Studio Assistant at Hand of Glory Tattoo Studio is responsible for providing exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for clients. This role involves managing client correspondence, scheduling appointments, maintaining studio cleanliness, and supporting shop operations. The position is available for both part-time and full-time work, with opportunities for growth within the studio.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, answer emails and phone calls, and schedule appointments.
• Act as a friendly and professional liaison between clients and tattoo artists/piercers.
• Process client transactions accurately and efficiently using the Lightspeed POS system.
• Maintain inventory, cleanliness, and upkeep of the studio.
• Provide support during busy periods by assisting in various tasks as needed.
• Report to the owners of the company with any matters of importance.

Requirements

• Must be punctual and a self-starter.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on excellent customer service.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Some weekend shifts are required.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience or knowledge in the tattoo or piercing industry.
• Familiarity with Lightspeed POS or similar point-of-sale systems.
• Knowledge of first aid or cross-contamination protocol.
• Social media knowledge and familiarity; analytics and marketing skills.
• Photo and video editing skills.
• Experience with Google Suite, WordPress, Mailchimp.
• Proficiency with Apple products.
