About the position

The Front End Teammate at Lowe's Supermarkets is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment for customers and teammates. This role emphasizes the importance of customer relations, teamwork, and adherence to company policies and procedures. The Front End Teammate acts as a model for customer service and promotes a culture aligned with Lowe's core values and vision.

Responsibilities

• Act as the ambassador of extraordinary customer service.
• Promote customer and community goodwill by treating all teammates and customers with fairness, dignity, and respect.
• Recognize and differentiate between various types of produce carried in the store.
• Provide prompt and accurate checkout service and ensure accurate transactions.
• Process all types of sales transactions accepted by the store, including EFT transactions, WIC checks, food stamps, and coupons.
• Follow proper sacking procedures and comply with safety standards.
• Inform management of pricing problems and maintenance needs of front end equipment.
• Handle damaged and spoiled/out of date products according to company policies.
• Inform store management of disputes between teammates and department managers.
• Understand the company teammate handbook and keep the work area maintained for safety.
• Work with store teammates to identify root causes of issues and inefficiencies.
• Assist in keeping the front end clean and clear of baskets to ensure smooth customer flow.
• Assist in training front end teammates and ensure all teammates understand Lowe's expectations.
• Ensure compliance with check cashing policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Possess good customer relations skills.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and address customer needs.
• TABC certification if required.
