About the position

As a Front Desk Agent, you are an ambassador of hospitality, ensuring that every guest's journey begins and ends with a positive and memorable impression of our resort. You will greet, register, and assign rooms to guests, issue room keys, and provide escort instructions to Bell Staff. You will also handle incoming mail and messages, transmit and receive telephone messages, and answer inquiries about hotel services, guest registration, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Keeping records of room availability and guests' accounts, computing bills, collecting payments, and making changes for guests are also part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will create and confirm reservations, post charges to the ledger, and arrange restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations and tours. Nightly bucket checks and problem-solving for guests' issues are also expected.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests
  • Issue room key and escort instructions to Bell Staff
  • Date stamp, sort, and rack incoming mail and messages
  • Transmit and receive telephone messages
  • Answer inquiries about hotel services, guest registration, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions
  • Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts
  • Compute bills, collect payments, and make changes for guests
  • Create and confirm reservations
  • Post charges, such as room, food, liquor, or telephone, to the ledger
  • Make restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations and arrange tours
  • Conduct nightly bucket checks
  • Listen and find solutions to guests' problems

Requirements

  • Must be able to work the flexible schedule: 6pm - 2am & 11pm - 7am
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 15lbs
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of team members and guests in an attentive and service-oriented manner
  • Required to pass a background check, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States
