About the position

As a Front Desk Agent at Marriott Hotels, you will serve as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and exceptional service throughout their stay. This role is crucial in creating a positive and memorable experience for every guest, involving various responsibilities from managing reservations to addressing guest inquiries and complaints.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
  • Manage online and phone reservations
  • Inform customers about payment methods and verify credit card data
  • Register guests collecting necessary information
  • Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
  • Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities
  • Respond to clients' complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests' needs
  • Inspect rooms and common areas, and enforce rules
  • Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services
  • Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
  • Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
  • Cross-train other departments including breakfast and laundry

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Organizational skills
  • Desire to learn and grow
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer proficiency and experience with hotel management software is a plus
  • Previous hotel front desk or customer service experience preferred
