About the position

The Front Desk Agent/Night Auditor is responsible for providing exceptional guest services at the hotel, including managing the check-in and check-out processes, addressing guest requests, and ensuring accurate daily accounting procedures. This role requires flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, and involves multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Relief Night Auditor when needed
• Provide quality guest service during check-in/out of hotel guests
• Ensure accuracy with daily accounting procedures
• Ensure all guests receive a fond farewell at the end of their stay
• Respond to guest requests to exceed their expectations
• Manage several tasks with speed and accuracy
• Answer telephones and take hotel reservations when no reservation agents are available
• Provide services in a gracious and professional manner

Requirements

• Must have schedule flexibility to work various shifts including weekdays, weekends, nights, holidays, and overnights
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs and stand, walk, and move around during the entire 8-hour shift
• Must be computer efficient and literate to operate basic Windows PC programs and online databases
• Basic cashier skills to receive credit card and cash payments from guests
• Ability to communicate clearly and directly with guests and fellow associates using a positive, clear speaking voice
• Previous hotel experience in a guest service role is strongly preferred
• Ability to work well under pressure during check-in/check-out of guests and handle multiple tasks at once
• Previous experience with Choice Advantage Property Management System is a plus
