AWS Infrastructure is looking for a talented, driven, and highly analytical, Freight Audit Payment Specialist with a hunger for driving change and impact at a global scale to join Amazon Web Services team. Responsibilities

  • Develop auditing automation strategies for transportation freight invoices and ensuring proper controls are in place in freight auditing and Invoice payment systems.
  • Create a 'learn by doing' environment by engaging with financial analysts and business partners to promote and encourage continued customer focus and cost reduction.
  • Partner with your team and oversee auditing operations, develop analytical models / automation efforts while overseeing their continuous innovation and communication to both your operations & other business partners.
  • Work with technology teams and payable teams to ensure timely freight invoice payments and provide excellent carrier experience.
  • Manage and participate in finance and accounting activities globally with multiple currencies.
  • Recommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in accurately estimating freight cost and ensure payment accuracy.
  • Identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations.
  • Analyze and solve business problems at their root.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related.
  • 2+ years of experience with forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of business impact and results.
  • 2+ years of experience with Excel advanced tools (pivots, lookups, etc.).
  • 2+ years knowledge of Freight audit processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven experience within a Logistics, Transportation, or Distribution Center processes and systems.
  • Advanced problem solving and root cause analysis combined with proven ability to communicate those analysis.
  • Highly analytical, detail oriented and strong business sense; proven ability to manage new ideas and creative solutions.
  • Manage and prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, growing and ambiguous environment.
  • Solid Project Management Skills.
  • Basic experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, Tableau, MSAccess, Essbase and/or Cognos) and other financial systems such (i.e. Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
