About the position

The Freezer Backhauler position at C&S Wholesale Grocers involves working in a fast-paced warehouse environment to ensure that products are received, organized, and stocked efficiently. This role is crucial for maintaining the supply chain and supporting the company's mission to feed local communities. The position requires physical stamina and the ability to operate material handling equipment while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Receiving product, recording code dates, and breaking down pallets of product according to appropriate receiving procedures.
• Utilizing forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and/or clamp machines to move merchandise.
• Maneuvering pallets of product from the dock to correct aisles.
• Moving at a fast pace to prevent backlog of trucks and/or product.
• Performing equipment inspections and completing appropriate forms.
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels.

Requirements

• One or more years of experience operating material handling equipment.
• Strong sense of safety and ability to follow standard safety procedures.
• Team-oriented outlook with a passion for helping others.

• Ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures.
