About the position

The Freezer Associate at Tropicale Foods, Inc. is responsible for performing various warehouse duties under general supervision, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and material handling in a sub-zero freezer environment. The role requires coordination of product flow, ensuring accuracy in shipping and receiving, and maintaining safety and cleanliness standards in the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and control the handling, storage, location, and flow of finished products through the warehouse area.
• Receive daily inbound loads of product and plan shipping, arranging for excess product to be stored in the warehouse area.
• Adjust storage space assignments to handle daily flow of finished products.
• Check availability of items to be shipped by checking inventory records or conducting a spot inventory of required products.
• Identify and rotate products accordingly, logging and identifying quantity of cases by product and Best by Date.
• Keep Supervisor and Lead informed about the status of Finished Goods Inventory and report any discrepancies.
• Ensure that all products are transferred and delivered to the designated location as requested.
• Fill out and submit all necessary reports and forms in a timely manner.
• Pick orders for shipment and assume other responsibilities as directed.
• Safeguard and maintain company equipment and property, including Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
• Ensure all areas are kept clean at all times.
• Attend all company training sessions and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of shipping and warehouse procedures and regulations required.
• Must be able to work in a sub-zero freezer with a temperature of -15◦.
• Must have 1 year of experience certified as a Forklift Operator (Reach, Stand up, and Sit-down).
• A minimum of two years' experience as a warehouse team member.
• Responsible, dependable, conscientious, alert, and safety-minded.
• Good math skills required.
• Excellent attendance and safety record.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Able to meet physical demands in the work environment.
