About the position

As a Lead Framer at Michaels, you will lead and coach a team of framers who focus on building customer relationships while creating a framing solution for their art. You will drive custom framing sales and assist customers in creating memorable framing solutions. Your role will involve assisting the Store Manager in managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and requirements. You will develop and coach the team on selling behaviors and lead the delivery of high-quality custom framing solutions to customers on time. Additionally, you will manage the framing team to achieve their KPIs, review sales and production workload, and execute inventory management processes. You will also serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) and assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, and training new team members.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a team of framers.

  • Plan workload in partnership with the Store Manager.

  • Execute shrink and safety programs.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
  • Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members.
  • Participate in Performance Management activities.
  • Acknowledge customers and provide solutions.
  • Participate in truck unload and stocking processes.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills.
