About the position
The Foundry Melter position at Fenico involves the operation of furnaces and handling of molten metal in the investment casting industry. The role focuses on materials procurement, ensuring product quality, and optimizing production processes while adhering to alloy specifications. Training will be provided for candidates with relevant manufacturing experience.
Responsibilities
- Procure materials and manage scrap reduction.
- Operate furnace and control temperatures for metal melting.
- Regulate fuel and air supplies, and control electric current and water coolant flow.
- Drain, transfer, or remove molten metal from furnaces into molds using hoists, pumps, and ladles.
- Move or discharge metal workpieces from furnaces.
Requirements
- Valid US work authorization.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Pass a drug screening and physical ability test.
- Ability to stand for the majority of the shift.
- Willingness to wear safety equipment.
Nice-to-haves
- Manufacturing experience or prior skills in a related field.
