About the position

The Foundry Engineer position is a permanent, full-time role within a well-established US-based manufacturing company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and improving the efficiency of foundry operations, utilizing advanced technologies and machinery. Responsibilities

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve foundry processes to increase productivity, reduce costs, and ensure quality.
  • Design and execute process control systems to monitor operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful launch of new products.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve foundry process issues, including conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Implement and manage continuous improvement initiatives within the foundry.
  • Train and mentor foundry personnel to ensure understanding and adherence to foundry processes and safety protocols.
  • Assist in the selection, installation, and maintenance of foundry equipment and machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including environmental and safety regulations.
  • Participate in the development of foundry budgets and forecasts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in foundry operations.
  • Extensive knowledge of foundry processes, materials, and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
  • A strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
