About the position

The Foster Care Onboarding Specialist at Adriel School, Inc. is responsible for providing intensive consultation and supervision to newly licensed foster parents and foster youth. This role involves case management, establishing service plans, conducting home visits, and maintaining professional relationships with all stakeholders in the foster care system. The specialist will also coordinate treatment programs, respond to crises, and implement the Teaching Family Model within assigned foster homes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide intense consultation/case management services to assigned Adriel foster youth and foster parents.
  • Establish service plans for youth.
  • Manage and maintain case load as assigned by the regional manager.
  • Follow the service-delivery rules and policies.
  • Conduct all required home visits, contacts, and observations.
  • Provide written documentation of service plans, contacts with foster caregivers and youth, and feedback.
  • Share information with other treatment team members as appropriate.
  • Maintain youth files.
  • Provide training to the foster parents as requested.
  • Maintain strong, professional working relationships with all internal and external consumers.
  • Attend staff meetings, staff training, and participate in special events.
  • Demonstrate a high level of understanding and adherence to the Teaching-Family Model.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of licensing regulations, standards, and requirements.
  • Receive and maintain training in accordance with ODJFS, TFA standards, CANS, and applicable licensure board.
  • Coordinate the youth's treatment program and ensure assessments and evaluations are completed as required.
  • Provide clinical case management services as assigned.
  • Act as the liaison and coordinator with the referring agency for the youth.
  • Respond to crises experienced by youth in foster care.
  • Provide on-call services to support assigned foster parents.
  • Work with the youth's biological family when appropriate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Valid driver's license, transportation, and auto insurance required.
  • LSW, LPC, or MFT certification required.
  • Minimum of two years experience working within the child welfare system required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Case management experience.
  • Experience working within foster care.
  • Demonstrated experience working within the Teaching Family Model.
