About the position

We are looking for a FORKLIFT OPERATOR to join our Humboldt, IA plant. As a forklift operator with Rinker Materials, you will contribute to one of the nation's largest manufacturers of reinforced concrete pipe, box, bridge, and other related infrastructure products for stormwater and sanitary applications. You will work become part of a community that prioritizes not only our customers but also values our dedicated and loyal employees.

Responsibilities

  • Complete pre- and post-shift daily audits and maintain the forklift's daily safety checklist.
  • Operate forklift to build loads by assembling product into bundles and complete detailed paperwork for each load.
  • Assist with material handling to ensure raw materials and finished goods are stored in the proper location.
  • Prepare lumber for dunnage use, operate saws and nail guns with precision.
  • Regularly fuel and maintain forklift and ensure it is parked in designated areas at the end of each day.
  • Record and turn in production records as required.
  • Keep yard area in a neat and orderly condition by organizing strapping, boards, stringers, and more.

Requirements

  • Prior manufacturing, production, or distribution experience.
  • Certification on Forklift Operation preferred.
  • Ability to operate forklift in accordance with required guidelines.
  • Ability to work outdoors or in open air environment.
  • Great work ethic and impeccable attendance.
