Position Summary THE MATERIAL HANDLER / LIFT TRUCK OPERATOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFE AND EFFICIENT HANDLING OF MATERIALS WITHIN A FAST-PACED MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT. THIS INCLUDES OPERATING VARIOUS TYPES OF LIFT TRUCKS TO MOVE, LOAD, UNLOAD, AND STACK GOODS IN WAREHOUSES, PRODUCTION, AND SHIPPING/RECEIVING AREAS. THE ROLE SUPPORTS INVENTORY CONTROL, MATERIAL TRACKING, AND ENSURES THAT PRODUCTION LINES ARE SUPPLIED IN A TIMELY AND ACCURATE MANNER. A FOCUS ON SAFETY, ACCURACY, AND COLLABORATION WITH CROSS-FUNCTIONAL TEAMS IS ESSENTIAL TO SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE.

Requirements

Work rotating shifts
Ability to lift, bend, sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
Work both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
Handle physically demanding tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Follow instructions accurately and maintain focus on safety
Work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
Lift truck/forklift experience
Knowledge of safe material handling procedures and warehouse operations
Knowledge of lift truck operation and routine equipment checks
Knowledge of inventory systems, barcode scanning, and basic documentation practices
Knowledge of workplace safety protocols and PPE requirements
Proficient operation of lift trucks and related equipment
Attention to detail in inventory movement and placement
Strong organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities

Operating various types of lift trucks to move, load, unload, and stack goods in warehouses, production, and shipping/receiving areas.
Supporting inventory control and material tracking.
Ensuring production lines are supplied in a timely and accurate manner.
Performing routine equipment checks.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft programs, scanning tools).
Effective verbal communication and coordination with teams.
