About the position

Pactiv Evergreen is hiring a Forklift Operator in Bridgeview, IL, with immediate openings. The position requires a minimum of two years of experience operating sit-down forklifts, and while one year of experience with stand-up (reach truck) forklifts is preferred, candidates with clamp experience who are willing to learn will also be considered. The role involves moving and transferring materials in a high-volume production environment, ensuring accuracy and safety in all operations. The position will require flexibility to work at both the Bridgeview and BP4 (Massasoit) locations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Moving and transferring materials and finished goods in a high volume production environment.
  • Performing all transferring with a high degree of accuracy and accountability according to established processes.
  • Focusing on safety and following all Critical Safety Rules and Standards of Conduct.
  • Assisting with operations on all EPS lines as assigned and relieving operators for breaks.
  • Performing duties of Packers and Operator B as assigned.
  • Completing assignments in a timely manner.
  • Conducting daily inspections of forklifts.
  • Supporting SAP functions related to inventory and load management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of experience operating sit-down forklifts.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate in English or Spanish.
  • Strong customer service skills for internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work within a team and build good relationships.

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum of one year of experience operating stand-up (reach truck) forklifts.
