About the position

The Fork Truck Driver is responsible for operating various forklift equipment to load, unload, and move materials such as trash, recyclables, and cardboard within a manufacturing plant. This position requires adherence to safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment while working in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.
• Operate a variety of forklift equipment to move materials around the plant.
• Maintain the facilities equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and complies with OSHA and SDS standards.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 1+ years of previous industrial material handling experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.
• Ability to maintain forklift certification.
• Ability to read and interpret written instructions and write intelligible reports.
• Knowledge of plant layout including location of materials.
• Familiarity with plant safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

• Stand Up Fork Truck experience is a plus.
