About The Position

Provide leadership and strong dedication to developing and delivering evidence-based services and support for individuals with mental illness and individuals with co-occurring disorders. Oversee outcome and program performance measures as defined both internally and externally. Provide individualized case management to clients. Make appropriate referrals. Comply with court orders and regularly attend scheduled hearings. Conduct outreach to high need, justice-involved, clients. Foster crucial partnerships with judges, attorneys, and correctional staff. May act as liaison and provide consultation, education and information to community agencies that routinely encounter individuals with mental or emotional disturbances. Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team structure to expand clinical competency, staff cases, and ensure thorough client care. Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders. Engage in community events, providing community education about program services and requirements. Foster effective teamwork, trust and communication between all members Reviews and signs staff clinical assessments and service plans Provide clinical oversight. Difficult cases and crisis management are emphasized. Provide supervision, consultation, education, and training for graduate level interns, other program staff, and community agencies/groups. Assist clinicians with their professional development planning, provide timely and constructive feedback, as well as conduct performance evaluations as scheduled. Provide supervision for licensure for program staff. Observe, supervise, and assist clinicians/providers on duty. May provide clinical review and/or supervision of work by other clinicians or subcontracted programs. Document into agency’s electronic medical record system. Ability to multi-task, manage time, meet deadlines, and remain calm and professional under pressure. Must ensure compliance with federal, state, and interagency regulations. Maintain standards of confidentiality of Lifeways’ clients and records. Perform all work duties and activities in compliance with Lifeway’s policies/procedures, Oregon Administrative Rules, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mental health, behavioral, and/or alcohol and drug counseling
  • Master’s degree in social work, behavioral health, or closely related field
  • Be registered with MHACBO for a QMHP within 30 days of hire.
  • Hold an Oregon QMHP certification and able to obtain a clinical license within 2 years of hire.
  • Completed 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
  • Current driver's license
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Must pass a Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS) Criminal Background Check (to enter correctional setting)

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual/multilingual
  • 2-5 years supervisory experience in behavioral health
  • Current Oregon clinical license (LCSW, LCP, LMFT)
