About The Position

Staff designated at Dickinson Wright PLLC (“the Firm”) as Foreign Filing Coordinator are responsible for providing professional support services to attorneys and clients of the Firm as assigned or otherwise necessary on a full time basis, unless otherwise arranged with the Firm. Such services frequently, but do not necessarily, include: providing administrative support to attorneys and clients, and high-volume correspondence with outside counsel (“Foreign Associates”), attorneys and clients.

  • Be willing and able to maintain client confidentiality and exercise good judgement when making decisions and handling certain situations
  • Be willing and able to sit at a desk/computer for long periods of time

Responsibilities

  • Supporting attorneys and clients by performing an administrative role, and handling detail-oriented and critical tasks
  • Drafting correspondence to clients and on behalf of clients, to Foreign Associates, and to Foreign jurisdictions
  • Communicating with attorneys, clients and Foreign Associates via email, fax and/or telephone
  • Operating a computer, fax machine, copy/scanning machine, telephone
  • Maintaining and managing calendar and deadline systems for International Intellectual Property deadlines
  • Maintaining physical and electronic files for International Intellectual Property matters
  • Managing International projects on behalf of clients
  • Inputting invoices for Foreign Associates for work performed on the Cclient’s or Firm’s behalf in other jurisdictions
  • Assisting attorneys in filing, prosecuting and post-grant maintenance of International Intellectual Property.
