About the position

The Food Services Team Member at Colorado Early Colleges is responsible for assisting in the preparation, serving, and cleaning for all USDA and Child Nutrition Programs. This role involves transporting food from the commercial kitchen to local schools, operating the POS system, and adhering to HACCP guidelines while ensuring compliance with state, federal, and district policies.

Responsibilities

• Transport freshly prepared food to other locations.
• Follow CEC transportation guidelines and policies.
• Serve meals according to standardized menus and recipes using proper portion control.
• Adhere to proper sanitation, cleaning, and kitchen safety program as defined by federal, state, local guidelines and rules including the HACCP Program.
• Work as a team with other kitchen staff by maintaining a consistent positive attitude toward co-workers, students, and school staff.
• Ensure food is properly stored based on federal, state, and local nutritional standards and guidelines.
• Assist in receiving and stowing of groceries and equipment as assigned by Manager.
• Complete written production menu worksheets.
• Follow daily job assignments and rotation as assigned by Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent, including GED or work experience.
• Some food or school food service experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Experience in scratch cooking professionally or personally is helpful.
