About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Food Service Worker 1 for a full-time position. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality, safety, and satisfaction of patient meals and dining services. The Food Service Worker will be involved in various aspects of food preparation, assembly, delivery, and customer service, contributing to the overall well-being and experience of patients and guests. Requirements

• High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED, or equivalent training or experience required.
• Food Safety Certification required within 90 days of job entry.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Less than 1 year of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble and deliver patient meals in accordance with quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards.
• Deliver stock supplies to the patient floor kitchens.
• Serve guests, maintaining positive customer/guest relations.
• Appropriately replenish used foods and supplies.
• Complete sanitation duties.
• Perform dish room duties as assigned, daily.
• Collect payments for guest trays.
• Handle transactions for food sales in the Cafeteria, as a cashier, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Set up and serve meals for corporate retail, catering, Doctors Dining Room, and other dining outlets.
• Decorate buffet and reception tables as assigned.
• Follow all aspects of high quality food preparation and service, or be in a supporting role to efficiently allow coworkers to do so.
• Contribute to the safety, comfort, and overall satisfaction of our customers.
