About the position
The Operations Associate position at a food truck startup in Philadelphia involves driving the food truck, managing customer orders, and ensuring operational efficiency. This role offers a clear path for bonuses, management opportunities, and potential equity in the business as it grows.
Responsibilities
- Drive support vehicle to food-truck storage location and transport it to operational locations.
- Operate the food truck, including accepting food orders, operating the POS system, and processing payments.
- Prepare and cook food, package it, and serve it to customers while maintaining positive relations.
- Perform closing procedures at the end of shifts, including cleaning and maintaining the food truck and its equipment.
- Manage waste disposal and refilling of water supplies for the food truck.
Requirements
- Must speak English fluently.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Food safety certificate valid in Philadelphia or willingness to obtain one.
Nice-to-haves
- Additional language skills in Arabic, Urdu, Pashto, Farsi, Turkish, or Uzbek are preferred.
- Having an SUV capable of towing 4000 pounds is preferred.
