About the position
Stones River Manor, founded in 1977, is Rutherford County's only faith-based, nonprofit senior living community. As a full service, continuing care campus, the goal of the Manor is to provide a comfortable, happy, secure environment for our residents. We strive to treat everyone just like members of our own family and to keep a clean, comfortable facility that is the closest thing possible to being at home. This position involves preparing and delivering food to residents, ensuring their dining experience is pleasant and meets their needs.
Responsibilities
- Reads menu cards items to place on tray or serve at resident's tables.
- Places items such as eating utensils, napkins, and condiments on tables or trays.
- Prepares food items such as sandwiches, salads, soups, and beverages.
- Apportions and places food servings on plates and trays according to choices on menu card.
- Examines filled tray for completeness and places on cart or table.
- Pushes carts, with dishes, supplies, and food, to halls or toward kitchen.
- Serves food to resident's tables.
- Collects and stacks dirty dishes on cart and returns cart to kitchen.
- Cleans dining room tables and chairs. Restocks condiments.
- Washes dishes and cleans work area, tables, cabinets, and ovens.
- Collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers.
- Records amount and types of special food items served to residents.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass drug screening and background check.
- Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
