About the position

The Food Production Associate at Dierbergs plays a crucial role in the Central Kitchen, where high-quality gourmet prepared foods are produced for distribution to stores. This full-time position requires a motivated individual who is passionate about food and committed to maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food products according to recipes and production goals.
• Follow food safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
• Adapt to work in various temperature-controlled zones within the Central Kitchen.
• Assist in different areas of production, including Recipe Preparation, Cooking, Packaging, Sanitation, and Shipping/Receiving.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Open availability for scheduling.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and utilize a push/pull cart of up to 260 lbs.
• Physical agility to work in a fast-paced food production environment.
• Willingness to learn all aspects of the production environment.
• Ability to operate food service equipment such as wrappers, labelers, scales, slicers, ovens, and mixers (training provided).
• Ability to read and interpret production papers and accurately measure ingredients.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Previous experience in restaurant, production, or general labor.
