About the position
As a Painter at Lodge Alley Inn Resort in Downtown Charleston, you will be responsible for completing all steps involved in the painting process at the resort. This includes painting, wallpapering, refinishing doors, furniture, walls, ceilings, and external structures. You will also maintain an inventory of paint and paint supplies, ensure the accurate functioning of all equipment and tools, assist other maintenance staff on special projects as directed, and perform other duties as required by your leader.
Responsibilities
- Complete all steps involved in the painting process.
- Paint and wallpaper various surfaces.
- Refinish doors, furniture, walls, ceilings, and external structures.
- Maintain inventory of paint and paint supplies.
- Ensure accurate functioning of all equipment and tools.
- Assist other maintenance staff on special projects as directed.
- Perform other duties as required by your leader.
Requirements
- Prior experience in painting.
- Able to communicate in English both written and verbally.
- Ability to follow basic written and verbal directions.
- Ability to climb stairs and work on ladders up to 40 feet.
- Ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to grasp, stoop, and reach overhead.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
