About the position
The Floor Technician position at DLP Services involves maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various facilities through a range of floor care tasks. The role requires a reliable and detail-oriented individual who can work independently or as part of a team, ensuring a clean and safe environment under the guidance of the Custodial Supervisor or Sr. Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
- Sweeping
- Vacuuming
- Mopping
- Strip and wax floors
- Buff floors
- Inspect floors for damage
- Remove trash/debris
- Operate floor care equipment
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working conditions
- Assist other facility staff as requested
- Work safely and inform management about unsafe conditions
- Wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the task
- Adhere to proper security procedures
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 1-year experience in floor care and janitorial work
- Knowledge of operating various pieces of equipment necessary for job functions, such as high-speed buffer, extractor, wet vac, pressure washer, and auto scrubber
- Ability to understand and follow directions from immediate supervisor
