Responsibilities
- Receive specimens and establish positive identification of specimens.
- Determine the suitability of specimens and may reject unsuitable specimens.
- Acquire and prepare reagents as needed.
- Perform instrument maintenance and calibration.
Requirements
- Associate degree in a relevant field.
- Current Certification of Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from ASCP, AAB, or registry eligible.
- Current Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist Certification or eligible if duties will include phlebotomy.
- Minimum one year of previous laboratory experience preferred.
