About The Position

The Boeing Company is looking for a Flight Simulation Software Engineer (Associate, Experienced, and Senior) to join the Flight Simulation I Labs team located in Dayton Beach, FL. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. The roles will involve software development for tools and models within our simulation infrastructure in the Flight Simulation Labs organization. Selected candidates will be aligned to a statement of work that best suits their interests and skillset, some of which could include: Creating core simulation infrastructure to serve as a baseline for programs developing flight simulation capabilities, Developing tools to simulate, monitor, and control digital messages between subsystems in a lab environment, Support modeling of various aircraft capabilities and subsystems, Supporting the ability to run constructive scenarios in a testing environment for development of our products and to support training efforts. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree
Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start)
2+ years of professional experience programming in C++

Associate / Level 2: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 2+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of directly related work experience OR 10+ years of related, relevant experience
Experienced / Level 3: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 5+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ years of directly related work experience OR 13+ years of related, relevant experience
Senior / Level 4: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 9+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 13+ years of directly related work experience OR 17+ years of related, relevant experience
2+ years of experience programming in C, C#, Python, Java, or Ada (or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience)
Experience in Modeling and Simulation
Experience in the defense or avionics industry
Experience working on an Agile team using Agile methodologies and tools
Strong coordination and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment

Responsibilities

Develops, documents and maintains architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for simulation software systems
Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system
Develop simulation environments to support testing performed by Mission Systems engineers
Works on an agile team in order to accomplish team goals
Executes and documents software research and development projects
Works under general direction
