About the position

As a flight attendant for Alaska Airlines, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers during regional flights throughout the West. This role requires a commitment to high standards of service and safety, as well as the ability to create memorable experiences for guests. You will be the face of the airline, embodying its values and maintaining a positive demeanor while performing various inflight duties.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and comply with all safety regulations.
  • Ensure all safety equipment on the aircraft is in working order.
  • Greet passengers and assist with seating assignments and carry-on baggage stowage.
  • Explain and demonstrate the use of safety equipment and emergency procedures.
  • Prepare and serve meals and beverages, including alcohol.
  • Market onboard products and process sales using a mobile device.
  • Calmly resolve passenger situations during flights, including medical emergencies.
  • Answer questions regarding flight operations and provide destination information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of customer or community service experience.
  • Uncompromising dedication to safety.
  • Ability to meet specific body size requirements for aircraft dimensions.
  • Ability to meet grooming, uniform, and appearance standards.
  • Demonstrated physical ability to perform the duties of a flight attendant.
  • Willingness to serve alcohol.
  • Basic computer literacy and comfort with technology.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively.
  • Adaptability to perform a variety of duties and work effectively under stress.
  • Ability to attend 4 weeks of paid training in Portland, OR.
  • Possess and/or obtain a current passport with unlimited access in and out of the United States.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 21 years old.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
