DSI is growing—again! We are currently hiring Flex Officers in Tampa, FL. This is a flexible schedule position that may require working various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The Flex Security Officer may be assigned to different locations based on company needs, requiring the ability to commute to different sites. Must maintain regular and timely attendance. Must be customer service oriented, possess excellent communication skills. If applicable to the location you are assigned, must be able to meet and continue to meet all applicable licensing requirements for Security Officers based on state, county and/or municipal regulations. Availability to cover posts at any site within the Central Florida region, either scheduled in advance or for emergency coverage. Pay travel time when site is beyond 30 minutes from home. Must be 21 or older, with a valid driver's license and clean driving history.

Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license REQUIRED
Reliable transportation and means of communication
Basic to intermediate computer skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to conduct routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all weather conditions
Must pass all required background checks and drug screenings
Valid Class D Security License

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and secure environment through visible presence and routine patrols
Observe, report, and respond to hazards, incidents, and suspicious activity
Follow DSI policies, client requirements, and post-specific instructions
Interact professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public
Complete required reports and documentation accurately and timely
Participate in training and comply with DSI safety procedures and manuals
