About The Position

MMT Ambulance is seeking a passionate Fleet Mechanic to join their growing team in Raleigh, NC. This role is crucial for maintaining the fleet of vehicles and patient transport systems that support Emergency Medical Services (EMS). The ideal candidate will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and execute repairs on all vehicles and related equipment, ensuring the safety and reliability of the fleet. MMT provides ongoing OEM training and supports ASE certifications, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact in the community.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Self-confidence, emotional stability, good judgment, and tolerance for high stress.
• Possess good verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in both light diesel and gas vehicle repair.
• Ability to utilize multiple computer systems, and accurately document all actions in MMT’s Fleet Management System.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with repair and maintenance of ambulance or emergency vehicles is preferred.
• ASE or manufacturers certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, rebuilds, and repairs vehicles and equipment.
• Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Documents vehicle records in Fleet Management system.
• Execute major and minor repairs of defective components and vehicle systems.
• Sources and procures parts/supplies through MMT national accounts.
• Maintain work environment in an organized and safe condition.
