About the position

The primary role involves repairs, cleaning, polishing, and maintaining automobiles, trucks, and other construction, maintenance, and building equipment. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Repairs, cleans, polishes, and maintains automobiles, trucks, and other construction, maintenance, and building equipment.
- Performs building maintenance and makes minor additions to buildings, when required.
- Answers the telephone, DLCC alarms and radio on those shifts when on duty alone or with another Garage Mechanic.
- Refers, when necessary, special service requirements or emergency calls to the proper Customer Service Worker, Troubleshooter, Inspector, Crew Chief, or Supervisor.
- Cares for furnace, when required.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Experienced in automotive repair.
- H.S. Diploma or GED required.
