About the position
The Fitness Trainer position at Planet Fitness offers an opportunity to start a fitness career while providing leadership and growth opportunities. Trainers will work with a diverse membership base, helping individuals of various fitness levels achieve their personal goals through tailored exercise programs. Responsibilities
- Designing individual exercise programs for members based on their experience, medical background, and personal goals.
- Developing and implementing safe and effective exercise programs for individuals who are healthy or have medical clearance to exercise.
- Providing superior customer service to members, prospective members, and guests.
- Ensuring an exceptional 'Judgement Free' member experience.
Requirements
- Valid Certified Personal Trainer certification (or obtain within 6 months of hire).
- Experience in customer service preferred.
- Ability to lift 45+ pounds.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential.
- A passion for fitness and health.
- Strong listening skills with the ability to empathize and problem-solve.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) accredited certifications such as NASM, ACSM, ACE, NCSF, NSCA, and/or WITS.
- Desire and capacity to train at all fitness levels.
