About the position
The Fitness Trainer at Planet Fitness is a dynamic role focused on helping members achieve their fitness goals in a supportive and non-judgmental environment. This position involves leading group fitness programs, designing workout plans, and providing exceptional customer service to create a welcoming atmosphere for all members. The trainer is also responsible for maintaining equipment and ensuring cleanliness in the club, contributing to a positive fitness experience.
Responsibilities
- Run the Planet Fitness group fitness program PE@PF.
- Design simple workout programs for members.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and handle minor repairs.
- Keep the club clean and welcoming for members.
- Engage and encourage members to participate in fitness classes.
- Assist at the front desk with member check-ins and tours.
- Help with member enrollment and other club responsibilities.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Nationally Certified Training Certification is required.
- Knowledge of fitness equipment and ability to demonstrate use.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- On-time dependability is essential.
